Description

A delightful and rich dish featuring chicken breasts cooked in a creamy sauce with sun-dried tomatoes and garlic.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil (or fresh basil for garnish)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet and sear for about 5–7 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds.
  5. Stir in chopped sun-dried tomatoes and cook for another minute.
  6. Pour in heavy cream and add grated Parmesan cheese. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over it. Simmer for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  8. Stir in dried basil and adjust seasoning if needed.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

Pairs well with pasta, rice, or a fresh garden salad. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
