Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the yeast in warm water with a pinch of sugar and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Combine the flour, sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  3. Add the yeast mixture, condensed milk, beaten egg, and melted butter to the dry ingredients.
  4. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes.
  5. Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 60 minutes.
  6. Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf, and place it in a greased loaf pan.
  7. Allow the dough to rise again for about 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  9. Bake the bread for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven, let it cool, and enjoy fresh or toasted with butter.
