A delicious and nutritious banana bread made with whole ingredients.
Ingredients

- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted coconut oil
- 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine mashed bananas and melted coconut oil.
- Add honey, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
- Sprinkle baking soda and salt over the mixture, then mix in the flour until just combined.
- If using, fold in walnuts.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
For an extra touch, add chocolate chips or replace walnuts with pecans.
