Tender and juicy pulled pork made in a slow cooker, perfect for any meal.
Ingredients

- 3–4 lb pork shoulder butt
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp ground mustard
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 3/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp liquid smoke
Instructions
- Cut the meat into 4-6 equal-sized pieces. Trim fat as desired.
- Mix salt, pepper, brown sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, ground mustard, and cayenne pepper in a bowl. Rub this mixture all over the meat.
- Combine chicken broth, cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and liquid smoke in the slow cooker. Whisk it together.
- Place the seasoned meat into the slow cooker.
- Slow cook on low for 480-600 minutes or on high for 240-360 minutes.
- Once finished, remove the meat to a bowl and shred it with two forks. Serve with the juices from the slow cooker or your favorite BBQ sauce.
Notes
To enhance flavor, let the meat marinate in the spice mix overnight. For a twist, try different types of vinegar.
