- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt

- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh herbs (such as parsley, rosemary, or thyme), chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheese (such as mozzarella or cheddar)
Instructions
- Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl and let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- Mix flour and salt in a large mixing bowl. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle. Spread minced garlic, fresh herbs, and shredded cheese evenly over the dough.
- Roll the dough tightly to form a log and slice it into rounds.
- Arrange the rounds in a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Best served warm with marinara sauce or garlic butter for dipping. Can be stored at room temperature for up to 2 days or frozen for longer storage.
