- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, pureed

- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- For the glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons strawberry puree
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a loaf pan.
- Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk and strawberry puree, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Mix powdered sugar with enough strawberry puree to achieve the desired consistency for the glaze.
- Drizzle the glaze over the cooled pound cake and serve.
Notes
Use fresh strawberries for the best flavor. Store in an airtight container for up to five days.
