Description

Sweet and salty strawberry pretzel salad with a crunchy pretzel crust, creamy filling, gelatin, and fresh strawberries.


Ingredients

2 cups pretzels, crushed

1/2 cup butter, melted

1/4 cup sugar

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

8 ounces whipped topping

2 packages strawberry gelatin, 3 ounces each

2 cups boiling water

2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and sugar.
  3. Press into an 8×8 inch pan and bake for 10 minutes.
  4. Cool the crust completely.
  5. Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  6. Fold in whipped topping and spread over cooled crust.
  7. Dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water and cool slightly.
  8. Stir in sliced strawberries and pour over the cream layer.
  9. Chill until fully set before slicing.

Notes

Seal the cream layer to the edges so gelatin does not soak into the crust.
