Description

A delightful and nutritious meal that combines cottage cheese, mozzarella, and marinara sauce, topped with hot honey for a sweet kick.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 2 slices whole grain bread
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon hot honey (or to taste)
  • Italian seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Toast the whole grain bread slices lightly in a toaster or on a skillet.
  3. Spread 1/4 cup of marinara sauce on each slice of toast.
  4. Top each slice with 1/2 cup of cottage cheese, spreading it evenly.
  5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously on top of the cottage cheese.
  6. Add a sprinkle of Italian seasoning if desired.
  7. Place the prepared toasts on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Remove from the oven and drizzle hot honey over each toast before serving.
  9. Allow to cool for a minute before slicing in half and enjoying.
