- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 2 slices whole grain bread
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tablespoon hot honey (or to taste)
- Italian seasoning (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Toast the whole grain bread slices lightly in a toaster or on a skillet.
- Spread 1/4 cup of marinara sauce on each slice of toast.
- Top each slice with 1/2 cup of cottage cheese, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously on top of the cottage cheese.
- Add a sprinkle of Italian seasoning if desired.
- Place the prepared toasts on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle hot honey over each toast before serving.
- Allow to cool for a minute before slicing in half and enjoying.
Notes
