- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 large egg yolks
- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup fresh key lime juice
- 1 teaspoon lime zest
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- Lime slices for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter to form the crust. Press the mixture into the bottom of a pie pan.
- Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes until golden. Remove from oven and let cool.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
- Stir in the key lime juice and lime zest until well combined.
- Pour the filling into the cooled crust and bake for another 10-15 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Before serving, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Spread or pipe the whipped cream over the top of the pie.
- Garnish with lime slices and serve.
Notes
Use fresh key lime juice for the best flavor. Cool the pie completely before refrigerating to ensure it sets properly.
