Description
A simple yet flavorful grilled chicken recipe that’s perfect for weeknight dinners or summer barbecues.
Ingredients
Scale
- 500 g boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 60 ml olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 60 ml fresh lemon juice
- 2 tsp dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Combine the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper in a large Ziploc bag.
- Add the chicken breasts, seal the bag, and gently mix to coat. Let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 200°C or 400°F).
- Remove chicken from the marinade, letting excess drip off, and place on the grill.
- Grill for about 5–7 minutes on one side without moving it until grill marks appear.
- Flip the chicken and grill for another 5–7 minutes. Check with a meat thermometer that it has reached an internal temperature of 74°C (165°F).
- Transfer the chicken to a plate and cover loosely with foil. Let it rest for at least 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Monitor cooking times closely and use a meat thermometer to avoid overcooking. Marinate overnight for enhanced flavor.
