Description

A simple yet flavorful grilled chicken recipe that’s perfect for weeknight dinners or summer barbecues.


Ingredients

  • 500 g boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 60 ml olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 60 ml fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tsp dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper in a large Ziploc bag.
  2. Add the chicken breasts, seal the bag, and gently mix to coat. Let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 200°C or 400°F).
  4. Remove chicken from the marinade, letting excess drip off, and place on the grill.
  5. Grill for about 5–7 minutes on one side without moving it until grill marks appear.
  6. Flip the chicken and grill for another 5–7 minutes. Check with a meat thermometer that it has reached an internal temperature of 74°C (165°F).
  7. Transfer the chicken to a plate and cover loosely with foil. Let it rest for at least 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Monitor cooking times closely and use a meat thermometer to avoid overcooking. Marinate overnight for enhanced flavor.
