- 120 g (¾ cup) all-purpose flour
- 100 g (½ cup) brown sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 125 g (½ cup) unsalted butter, melted
- 300 g (2 cups) fresh strawberries, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a 9-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
- Mix the dry ingredients: rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
- Combine the wet ingredients: whisk together melted butter, vanilla extract, and egg in another bowl.
- Combine the wet and dry mixtures, folding in the chopped strawberries gently.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes before slicing into bars.
Notes
Avoid overbaking to achieve soft bars; cool completely for best texture.
