Honey Pepper Chicken with Mac and Cheese Recipe

Description

Sweet-savory honey pepper chicken served over creamy cheddar mac and cheese.


Ingredients

2 chicken breasts

1/4 cup honey

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 cup elbow macaroni

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup milk

2 tablespoons butter

Salt, to taste


Instructions

  1. Mix honey, black pepper, soy sauce, and olive oil.
  2. Coat the chicken and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Cook chicken in a skillet until golden and cooked through.
  4. Boil macaroni in salted water and drain.
  5. Return pasta to the pot with butter, milk, and cheddar.
  6. Stir until creamy.
  7. Slice chicken and serve over the mac and cheese.

Notes

For a saucier finish, simmer a little extra honey and soy sauce in the skillet and spoon it over the chicken.
