Easy honey BBQ chicken rice with tender chicken pieces, barbecue sauce, honey, rice, and green onions.

1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-size pieces
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 cup barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon honey
2 cups cooked rice
2 tablespoons chopped green onions, optional
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season chicken with salt and pepper, then cook until golden and nearly cooked through.
- Add barbecue sauce and honey, stirring to coat the chicken.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through.
- Spoon the honey BBQ chicken over warm cooked rice.
- Garnish with green onions and serve immediately.
Notes
Use warm cooked rice so the meal comes together quickly. Add a splash of water if the sauce gets too thick.
