Description
A simple yet effective marinade that elevates grilled chicken with a balance of acidity, sweetness, and herbs.
Ingredients
Scale
- 500 g Chicken Breasts (skinless and boneless)
- 120 ml Olive Oil (½ cup)
- 60 ml Lemon Juice (¼ cup)
- 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 30 g Honey (2 tablespoons)
- 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
- 10 g Salt (1 teaspoon)
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine 120 ml olive oil, 60 ml lemon juice, 3 minced garlic cloves, 30 g honey, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, and 10 g salt. Whisk until the mixture is well blended.
- Marinate the Chicken: Place 500 g of chicken breasts in a marinating container. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 8 hours.
- Prepare the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, about 200°C (400°F).
- Grill the Chicken: Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it on the hot grill. Cook for 5–7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 74°C (165°F).
- Rest and Serve: Transfer the grilled chicken to a plate and let it rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Avoid over-marinating to prevent mushiness. Use fresh ingredients for enhanced flavor.
