Description

A delightful and satisfying meal packed with protein, combining pasta and lean ground beef in a creamy sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta (your choice: penne, fusilli, or spaghetti)
  • 1 lb ground beef (lean, 90/10 or 85/15)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add your chosen pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until softened. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat if necessary.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and heavy cream. Stir to combine. Stir in the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring the creamy beef sauce to a simmer and let it cook for about 3-4 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  5. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until it is melted and creamy.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the creamy high-protein beef sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly. If needed, return to low heat for a minute to warm everything through.
  7. Serve the creamy beef pasta in bowls. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired. Enjoy your delicious, high-protein meal!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for about 3-4 days. Reheat with a splash of beef broth or milk.
