Big money has been splashed in buying MPL 2023 franchisees including Pune spending 14.8 Crores on Ruturaj Gaikwad as their icon player and captain. Similarly, 11 Crores were paid to Kedar Jadhav and smaller amounts to other icon players, matching the salaries given in the IPL as well. However, don’t expect such huge spending in the MPL 2023 auction as the purse amount is much smaller.
