Description

A simple and delicious Margherita pizza featuring fresh basil and mozzarella.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 1 cup crushed tomatoes
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Sugar to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, yeast, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add warm water and olive oil, then mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  7. Spread crushed tomatoes over the base.
  8. Top with sliced mozzarella and fresh basil.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
