The Indian hockey team ended the FIH Hockey Pro League Odisha on a high with yet another win over the world-class Australian team late on Wednesday. The Harmanpreet Singh-led side beat the Aussies 4-3 in a shootout after the match was tied 2-2 in regulation time.
The Indian team started on a high as their first goal was scored in the second minute and they held most of the possession from there. In fact, that was also the point from which India started to dominate the match and never looked back, which also came in handy in the shootout.
This particular goal came from the stick of Vivek Sagar Prasad, who was playing in his 100th match for the team. after Harmanpreet Singh Attempted a penalty kick at goal, the ball rebounded off the stick of an Australian runner (defender), giving Vivek time to get in for a tomahawk through the Australian net.
