Happy Zelda launch day everyone! I hope you all enjoy your time with Nintendo’s latest title, and I’ll get back to you all next week when we’ve all had a chance to chill with it over the weekend. And I hope none of you were spoiled by last week’s leak. It seems like this whole week has been an example of holding back, waiting for the Kingdom tears to fall, but we’ve still had an interesting week nonetheless.

Nintendo and Electronic Arts both released their financial earnings reports this week. While Electronic Arts’ numbers appear to be steady, though not steady enough to avoid layoffs earlier this year, sales of Nintendo’s Switch are falling. If the report needs it, the company has anticipated it and prepared accordingly. I have a feeling we won’t be seeing frequent Switch rumors anytime soon.

Unfortunately, Hollow Knight. Silksong has been delayed again. Although it never had a firm release date, it seemed to be planning to release it in the first half of this year. That window of time is closing fast, so it seems developers aren’t going to race to catch up. We’ve also heard rumors that the next game in the Call of Duty series is a remake of Modern Warfare 3; a story I would be happy to experience again.

In personal news just managed to get my Dead Island 2 review in before Kingdom Tears was released. While I have plenty of room in my heart for other games, I think I’m going to dedicate myself to the new Zelda because I get serious FOMO when a big game like this comes out. Other than that, I might spend some time on more Jedi. To play Survivor, but I’m not making any promises about playing anything other than Zelda in the next few days.
