The 17-year veteran loses for the first time in 4 months on RAW against Doomsday

In recent weeks, Judgment Day has been ramping up in the lead-up to WrestleMania. The stable is now responsible for defeating Johnny Gargano for the first time in his RAW tenure.

On the last edition of the red brand, Gargano and Dexter Loomis teamed up to take on Dominic Mysterio and Finn Balor, while Candice LeRay and Rhea Ripley were in the ring for their respective teams.

Johnny Wrestling, who began his wrestling journey in December 2005, recently found himself in the crosshairs of The Judgment Day. He has quietly been on an impressive streak in WWE, winning most of his matches on television and live. His only losses over the past few months have come at the Royal Rumble and The Elimination Chamber.

His loss on RAW was his first on the red brand since November 21, 2022.

In November 2022, that loss came against Nigerian giant Omos, who is set to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. Gargano, along with Dexter Loomis and Candice Lera, saved Edge from a Doomsday attack.

This led to a match advertised for RAW between him and Dexter Lumis vs. Dominic Mysterio and Damian Priest. Although they came close to winning, Rhea Ripley’s presence eventually paid dividends as she took out Candice Lera at ringside, allowing Damian Cright to take advantage and pin Dexter Loomis.

The show began with Edge accepting a challenge from another Doomsday member, Finn Balor, to face him at WrestleMania. The two men will fight in Hell’s Cell.
