Description

Delicious and easy-to-make orange and chocolate truffles, perfect for the holiday season.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz dark chocolate (70% cocoa content)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tsp fresh orange zest
  • 1 tbsp orange liqueur (optional)
  • Cocoa powder or chopped nuts for coating

Instructions

  1. Chop the dark chocolate and place it in a heatproof bowl.
  2. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it starts steaming.
  3. Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate and let it sit for a couple of minutes, then stir until smooth.
  4. Add the orange zest and optional orange liqueur, stirring until combined.
  5. Cover and refrigerate the mixture for about 2 hours or until firm.
  6. Once firm, scoop small amounts and roll them into balls.
  7. Roll the truffles in cocoa powder or chopped nuts to coat.
  8. Store in an airtight container in the fridge until serving.
