Description

This Strawberry Tiramisu is a delightful twist on the classic dessert, featuring layers of strawberries and mascarpone cream.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup brewed coffee (cooled)
  • 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 24 ladyfingers
  • Cocoa powder (for dusting)
  • Additional strawberries (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Combine the sliced strawberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice in a medium bowl. Toss to coat and let sit for 10–15 minutes to macerate.
  2. Whip the heavy cream in a large mixing bowl until soft peaks form. In another bowl, mix the mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined.
  3. Mix the brewed coffee with the coffee liqueur (if using) in a shallow dish.
  4. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, making sure they are soaked but not soggy. Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in a rectangular or square dish. Spread half of the mascarpone filling over the ladyfingers, then add half of the macerated strawberries. Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers, the remaining mascarpone filling, and the rest of the strawberries.
  5. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
  6. Dust the top with cocoa powder and garnish with additional fresh strawberries. Serve chilled and enjoy.

Notes

  • Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor.
  • Feel free to adjust the sweetness to your taste.
  • Consider using decaffeinated coffee if preferred.
