Looking at the title, you could be forgiven for thinking I’m crazy. Please bear with me for a few minutes. I recently attended an online lecture about everything Smart cities which also covered such technologies as IoT: (Internet of Things just in case you miss this acronym). We tend to focus on technology because it appears to give us something like speed, connectivity, big data, or simply control. The main learning point for me wasn’t the technology, although it can help. A key point was the systemic nature of smart cities.
