Description

Master the art of creating festive Santa Claus Macarons with this ultimate holiday guide, perfect for family bonding and creative fun.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 100g almond flour
  • 200g powdered sugar
  • 100g granulated sugar
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar
  • Butter (for filling)
  • Powdered sugar (for filling)
  • Milk (for filling)
  • Vanilla extract (for filling)
  • Red gel food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Weigh and sift almond flour and powdered sugar together.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip egg whites and cream of tartar until foamy, then gradually add granulated sugar and beat until stiff peaks form.
  4. Fold dry ingredients into meringue until batter flows like lava.
  5. If desired, divide batter, add red food coloring to half, then pipe onto a silicone mat or parchment paper.
  6. Tap trays to release air bubbles and let rest until a skin forms, approximately 30-45 minutes.
  7. Bake for about 15 minutes, then cool completely.
  8. For the filling, beat butter until smooth, then gradually mix in powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Pipe onto macaron shells and sandwich them.

Notes

Let the filled macarons rest in the fridge for 24 hours for best flavor.
