NFL rumors are all the rage these days, especially in the NFC. The Saints are considering signing one of Derek Carr’s old friends, the Vikings are adding depth on the edge and the Packers are getting their replacement Adrian Amos.
In a surprisingly hectic day during NFL free agency, the league had mostly small fish to fry.

The Saints hosted former teammate Derek Carr for a visit and could be inching closer to a deal as we speak. The Vikings and Packers are bolstering their defenses with solid starts as they prepare for an all-out war in the NFC North.

Zadarius Smith is still unhappy with his whole situation in Minnesota, but maybe new teammate Marcus Davenport can make him lighten up.
The Minnesota Vikings signed Davenport to a one-year, $13 million contract on Friday, sending the former first-round pick after five seasons with the NFC North Saints.
Selected 14th overall in 2018, Davenport could go down in NOLA history as an injury-prone breakout; Davenport’s once-shining potential faded year by year, and the Saints could only watch in horror as their young passer’s career spiraled down the drain.
Now set to join his second team, Davenport is coming clean in a new division with a solid supporting cast around him. This offseason saw the Vikings turn to the means of the French Revolution to get under the cap; finally doing so, the franchise can look forward to 2023 and beyond with greater hope.
Considered a playoff contender for most of the 2022 season, the Vikings want to make sure they are the real deal this time around. Davenport will also be looking to prove his worth on his one-year deal and unleash his dormant potential in his new home.
