The Wasatch County Museum is increasing access to priceless collections
OREM, UT, United States, June 7, 2023 /EINPresswire.com/ — Richard W. The Erickson Foundation today announces the opening date for the 2023 season. The museum opens for scheduled tours on May 31, 2023 and has many events planned throughout the summer for families and classic car enthusiasts.
“The Museum of Antique and Classic Power is a Utah treasure,” said foundation president Russell Baker. “The pioneer village and 1900s sawmill provide a wonderful backdrop for visitors to enjoy the hundreds of classic cars, motorcycles and other vehicles on display at the museum. This year, we’ve worked especially hard in the off-season to bring more fun, family-friendly activities to entertain and educate people of all ages in Wallsburg’s pristine mountain setting.”
Features of the museum include:
● One of the largest collections of classic motorcycles, cars and farm equipment in the Mountain West
● Oval track, bike racing, mini bikes and tractor pulls
● RC Sky Park, a new paved RC airfield for RCA hobbyists (club membership required)
● An authentic, early-era filling station and blacksmith shop
● The North Temple Show Shop and its original equipment
● An authentic print shop with printing equipment once used by the Salt Lake Times newspaper
● Walsburg’s first mercantile, founded in the 1890s
● Vintage household buildings with display of home goods
● log cabins, early 1900s church/school with pump organ, 50s-style cafe, and more
As Richard W. As part of the Erickson Foundation’s efforts to educate and entertain while preserving Utah’s rich history, the foundation hosts four events each year.
