Review: Citi Simplicity Credit Card

0% introductory April 21 on balance transfers. With one of the longest introductory balance transfer periods we’ve come across, you’ll get 0% introductory APR for the full 21 months on the balance transferred, meaning you’ll have almost two years to pay off your balance.

0% introductory April for 12 month purchases. You’ll also get 0% introductory APR on new purchases for the first 12 months. This is a useful benefit if you plan to purchase anything with the card.

Choose your payment term. A little flexibility can go a long way when it comes to managing your finances. The card allows you to choose from any available payment date, be it the beginning, middle or end of the month. So you can set up automatic payments that are in line with your salary.

No late fees. One of the most unique benefits is that there are never any late fees. While you should always pay your bill on time, as late payments can still affect your credit, it’s nice to know that you won’t be charged if you default and miss a payment.

No penalty APR. If you miss some payments, most credit cards will raise your interest rate until their penalty in April. The Citi┬« Simplicity┬« Card never charges a penalty, so your APR isn’t at risk for late payments.

There is no annual fee. This card comes with no annual fee, which is an important feature if your goal is to pay off debt.
