Putin and Biden clash with dueling speeches

In a powerful speech in Poland, the US president announced that Ukraine “stands strong”.

Joe Biden recently made a daring trip to the war-torn country to meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky and promised more funding and military support.

Just hours before Mr. Biden’s speech in Warsaw, Vladimir Putin delivered a defiant speech that lasted nearly two hours.

The Russian president blamed the West for the war in Ukraine and announced that Russia will stop its participation in the nuclear agreement with the United States.

The New START treaty was established in 2010 and sharply limits both countries’ nuclear arsenals and allows for inspections of nuclear facilities.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry later confirmed that the country’s decision to withdraw from the treaty could be reversed.
