- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F and grease an 8×8 baking dish.
- In a saucepan, combine milk, butter, and sugar until simmering. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips until smooth. Let cool slightly.
- Whisk together flour, pumpkin spice, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Whisk eggs and vanilla into the chocolate mixture. Gradually fold in dry ingredients until glossy.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan. Bake 25–30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool.
- In a stand mixer, beat softened butter and pumpkin puree until smooth.
- Add pumpkin pie spice, vanilla, and salt. Gradually add powdered sugar until fluffy.
- Spread frosting over cooled brownies, cut into squares, and serve.
