Description

A quick and healthy twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak, this casserole combines ground beef, cheese, and vegetables for a delicious low-carb meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 4 oz provolone cheese, torn
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 9×13 baking dish with non-stick spray.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onions and bell peppers, cooking for about 5-6 minutes until softened.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper, cooking until browned, about 7-8 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  4. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and soften cream cheese into the meat mixture, cooking for another 2 minutes.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the baking dish, layer with provolone pieces, then top with shredded mozzarella.
  6. Bake for 22-25 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
