- 2 lb mushrooms
- 1 count onion
- 2 lb beef cut into bite size pieces
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup heavy whipped cream
- 2 tbsp Better Than Bouillon Beef Base Concentrate
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 lb pasta
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the oil and sauté the diced onions and mushrooms for about 15 minutes until soft and golden.
- Add in the beef pieces, stirring well until they turn golden brown. Pour in 2 cups of boiled water and 2 tablespoons of Better Than Bouillon Beef Base. Cover and let it simmer on low for about 2 hours, seasoning with salt and pepper as desired.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the flour with 1/2 cup of cold water until smooth.
- Pour the flour mixture into the beef and stir well to combine. Add the whipping cream, continuing to stir as it simmers for about 15 minutes until it reaches a rich gravy-like consistency.
- Carefully fold in the cooked pasta, allowing the stroganoff to simmer for another 10 minutes.
