The Ofuzzi Cyber 1200 Pro is an expensive robot pool cleaner, but it’s also one of the most efficient devices we’ve reviewed to date. And as of this writing, it’s available for $100 off its $400 list price.
Like most robotic pool cleaners, the Ofuzzi Cyber 1200 Pro uses its rechargeable battery to move back and forth across the bottom of your pool, vacuuming up all the debris it can until it runs out. It’s a sizable device, measuring 15 x 13 inches and weighing about 13 pounds. It becomes significantly heavier when you lift it out of the pool with its attached, floating handle.
How big a pool can the Ofuzzi Cyber 1200 Pro clean?
Designed to cover a maximum of 1,076 square feet, the Cyber 1200 Pro is Ofuzzi’s top-of-the-line cleaner. It comes with a 6,600 mAh battery and a promised two hours of battery life. It is also equipped with a fast charging system that allows you to charge the battery in just three hours.

It’s unclear why Ofuzzi thought it was important to provide all these fancy stickers to make its Cyber 1200 Pro robot pool cleaner look even more fancy.

Before you can drop the device into the pool, you need to do some basic assembly, including brushing the bottom of the device and placing a strange plastic paddle, Ofuzzi calls it a “swing plate,” on top of the robot. . I’m not entirely sure what the function of the swash plate is, but it seems to have something to do with allowing the robot to move in wide arcs, allowing it to cover the pool floor more efficiently, depending on the shape and size of your pool. . As with most robotic cleaners, you can change this route of movement directly by adjusting the nozzles on either end of the robot to put it on a smaller or larger arc.
The Ofuzzi charges via a top-mounted power port, hidden under a rubber screw-on cover that protects it when submerged. This cap is a little tricky to get on and off (and tends to come loose from its tether), but it’s handy to have the power port on top of the bot. The device is turned on and off using a dial that surrounds the power input port. Another lighted ring lets you quickly see how the device is doing in the water – good green, red if there’s a problem, etc.
Is the Ofuzzi Cyber 1200 Pro an effective robotic pool cleaner?

The Ofuzzi Cyber 1200 Pro has a spacious dustbin and was very effective at cleaning the large pool where we tested it.

The Ofuzzi efficiently cleaned my 468 square foot pool, which measures 12 x 36 feet, with a small step out to add another 6 x 6 feet to the shallow end. Test note: I recently started testing pool robots with artificial silk leaves to improve test consistency and repeatability. The Ofuzzi performed well on this front, fully charged, promised two hours across the bottom of my pool, and picked up about 80 percent of the test leaves, mostly leaving debris in the deep-end corners.
I noticed that the unit spent quite a bit of time over the same area of the pool floor in the center of the pool for quite some time, but the unit eventually found its way and continued on its course. road After charging the device and running it a second time, it picked up all the remaining debris except for one leaf. Overall, the unit is a very good display that puts it at or near the top of the devices I’ve tested to date.
While the Ofuzzi Cyber 1200 Pro can be difficult to remove from the pool when you pull it with its tethered rope, at least it sheds quickly. The unit is a bit more difficult to disassemble for cleaning than other units I’ve tested; but then again, I’ve encountered worse, and unlike some robots, the display doesn’t have a dedicated front or back and can go either way, saving time and frustration. (It has a top and bottom, mind you.) A quick spray of the garden hose to the interior and filter screen is all it takes to get the unit ready for a charge and a second.
Ofuzzi Cyber 1200 Pro is worth the money
Ofuzzi’s aesthetic may be the most elegant, and the company oddly includes stickers in the box that you can use to make things even fancier, but the almost all-white design at least gives you the choice of an accent color or blue. or orange. The bigger downside is the price. $80 off the list price from $320 with coupons currently available, it’s still on the high end for pool robots. That said, its solid performance should be worth the modest extra cost.
