Malaysia Masters LIVE. Prannoy vs Nishimoto LIVE – PV Sindu defeated China’s Zhang Yi Man in a nail-biting encounter in the quarter-finals of the Malaysia Masters 2023. Sindhu cruised to a 21-16, 13-21, 22-20 win over the Chinese to book her place in the semi-finals. HS Prannoy is now up against Japan’s Kenta Nishimoto. In the first match, Prannoy won 25-23. Kidambi Srikanth vs Christian Adinatha
Kidambi Srikanth notched one of his biggest wins in recent times when he beat eighth seed Kunlavut Witidsarn in straight sets in the second round. Srikanth is yet to play in the tournament as he started his campaign with a convincing 21-12, 21-16 win against Toma Junior Popov in the first round.
Srikanth aims to continue his form as he takes on Christian Adinata in the quarter-finals. Christian Adinata is a qualifier. The Indonesian started his campaign by defeating Kantaphon Wangchaoren in straight games. He then beat Magnus Johannesen 21-16, 21-14 to set up a clash against Kidambi Srikanth. Both players will meet each other for the first time.
HS Prannoy vs Kenta Nishimoto
HS Prannoy is also in great form in the tournament. He began his campaign with a 16-21, 21-14, 21-13 come-from-behind win against sixth seed Chow Tien Chen in the first round. In the second round, he also lost the first game, but won the next two games against Li Shi Feng in the second round. Prannoy will now face the unexpected Kenta Nishimoto in the quarterfinals.
Kenta Nishimoto scored a crushing victory over Jonathan Christie. The Japanese defeated the third seed 22-20, 21-11. Nishimoto began his campaign with a three-set victory against Ng Tse Yomgi in the first round.
In the tour, Prannoy and Nishimoto met twice, and the Japanese won both matches. They last met at the Thailand Open in 2019 and the Japanese won the contest in straight games.

PV Sindhu vs Zhang Yi Man
PV Sindhu started her campaign in the tournament with a 21-13, 17-21, 21-18 win against Denmark’s Line Kristoffersen in the first round. In the second round, she cruised past Japan’s Aya Ohori in straight games. Sindhu will now face world number 18 Zhang Yi-Man for a place in the semi-finals.
Zhang Yi Man began his campaign with a straight-sets win against Beiwan Zhang in the first round. He then defeated Kim Ga Un in three games to set up a clash against Sinhu. The Chinese leads the match record against Sindhu 3-2.
