KLIM began making gloves and jackets for skiers, specifically for ski patrollers at various resorts. Later, they eventually moved into snowmobile gear, which was unprecedented at the time, though it spawned imitators and competitors. Although KLIM didn’t start out as a one-piece kit, it has perfected it and continues to stand behind the quality of its products.
What was KLIM’s biggest challenge?
Advertising on Amazon could have been a full-time job that Ben didn’t have time to do. With so many changes, as well as the complexity of the platform, he couldn’t keep up. Although Amazon provides some webinars and “how to optimize” guides, it has not provided enough substantive information. In order to keep the rest of the business running smoothly, Ben couldn’t continue to manage Amazon ads with inventory, websites, communications and many other things that go along with running a successful e-commerce business.

Ben also informed that this 5% figure coincides with durable advertising costs, which means insignificant advertising revenue for KLIM. Along with the advertising success, KLIM achieved its highest annual total revenue ever.
