Ingredients

  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce, cooled
  • Flaky sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and a pinch of salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the cooled salted caramel sauce until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  7. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
  8. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the centers are still soft.
  9. Once out of the oven, let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely. Sprinkle a little sea salt on top while they’re still warm.
