- 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano (substitute with Italian seasoning or basil)
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Salt (fresh minced garlic can be used as alternative)
- 1 cup Marinara Sauce (or any favorite sauce like ranch or barbeque)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the active dry yeast with half of the warm water and let it foam for about 5 minutes to activate the yeast. In a large mixing bowl, mix the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, kosher salt, and the remaining warm water. Add the egg yolk and the foamy yeast mixture. Gradually stir in the all-purpose flour until the dough just comes together.
- Generously brush a 9×13-inch baking dish with melted butter. Spread the prepared dough evenly in the dish. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and let the dough rise in a warm place for 15 minutes, allowing it to puff slightly. Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- After the dough has risen, remove the plastic wrap and brush the top with additional melted butter. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic salt, and dried oregano evenly over the dough. Bake in the preheated oven for 28 to 31 minutes until the breadsticks are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Let the breadsticks cool for 10 minutes before cutting into sticks. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
