- 1 box chocolate or vanilla cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, combine your cake mix, eggs, melted butter, and milk. Mix until smooth and well blended.
- Gently fold in about 1 to 1.5 cups of crushed Oreo cookies into your cake batter.
- Evenly distribute the batter into the prepared cake pans. Smooth the tops with a spatula.
- Place the pans in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- In a mixing bowl, beat together the heavy cream and softened butter until fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar, then fold in crushed Oreos to create a creamy Oreo frosting.
- Once the cakes are completely cool, place one layer on a serving plate. Spread a generous amount of Oreo frosting on top, then place the second cake layer on top. Frost the top and sides of the cake with the remaining Oreo frosting.
- For an extra touch, you can top the cake with whole Oreo cookies or additional crushed Oreos for a beautiful presentation.
- Let the cake chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before slicing.
