  • Chocolate sauce
  • Powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  5. Lightly grease the preheated waffle iron with cooking spray or melted butter.
  6. Pour the appropriate amount of batter onto the waffle iron (usually 1/2 to 3/4 cup).
