- 1 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted (used for greasing the ramekins)
- 4 large apples (peeled and cut into chunky pieces)
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/3 teaspoon ground cinnamon

- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter melted and slightly cooled
- Optional ice cream or caramel sauce (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and arrange eight 6-ounce ramekins on a sturdy baking sheet.
- Lightly coat the inside of each ramekin with melted butter.
- In a large bowl, toss the apple chunks with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until evenly coated.
- Spoon the apple mixture evenly into the prepared ramekins.
- In a separate bowl, combine the brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt for the topping.
- Drizzle in the melted butter and stir gently until large, crumbly clusters form.
- Scatter the crumble topping over the apples.
- Bake for 32–36 minutes, until the topping turns golden and the apples underneath are tender.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool briefly before serving warm, with optional ice cream or caramel.
