  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat a little oil over medium heat. Add the sliced kielbasa and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sauté until soft and translucent.
  4. Grease a 9×13 inch casserole dish with cooking spray or butter.
  5. Spread half of the frozen pierogi evenly across the bottom of the casserole dish.
  6. Layer half of the cooked kielbasa on top of the pierogi.
  7. In a bowl, combine the sour cream, chicken broth, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  8. Pour half of the sour cream mixture over the first layer in the casserole dish.
  9. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese over the sour cream mixture.
  10. Repeat steps 5 to 9 with the remaining pierogi, kielbasa, sour cream mixture, and cheese.
  11. Cover the casserole dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  12. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
