Ingredients

- 1 cup brewed coffee
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp unflavored gelatin
- 2 cups heavy cream
- Optional: Chopped walnuts or pecans for topping
- Optional: Whipped cream for serving
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients and tools.
- Dissolve gelatin in cold water and let sit.
- Heat brewed coffee, molasses, sugar, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and vanilla in a saucepan.
- Add dissolved gelatin to the warm mixture.
- Whip heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- Fold the coffee mixture into the whipped cream carefully.
- Pour mousse into dome molds and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- Remove from molds, serve with whipped cream or toppings if desired.
Notes
For a dairy-free option, substitute heavy cream with coconut cream. Can be made up to two days in advance.
