Garlic Butter Cod Recipe

Description

Tender, flaky cod fillets cooked in a rich garlic butter sauce. A simple and delicious seafood dinner ready in minutes.


Ingredients

Scale

4 cod fillets (about 6 oz each)

4 tablespoons butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Lemon slices for serving


Instructions

  1. Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Melt butter in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Place the cod fillets in the skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes on one side until golden.
  5. Flip the cod fillets and spoon the garlic butter over the top.
  6. Transfer the skillet to a preheated 400°F oven and bake for 8-10 minutes until the cod is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Drizzle with lemon juice, garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices, and serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
Reheat gently on stovetop for best results.
