4 cod fillets (about 6 oz each)
4 tablespoons butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Lemon slices for serving
Instructions
- Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
- Melt butter in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Place the cod fillets in the skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes on one side until golden.
- Flip the cod fillets and spoon the garlic butter over the top.
- Transfer the skillet to a preheated 400°F oven and bake for 8-10 minutes until the cod is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Drizzle with lemon juice, garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices, and serve immediately.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
Reheat gently on stovetop for best results.
