Hi Happy Friday and St. Patrick’s Day!! How are you? I hope you had a wonderful week. The girls were on spring break so the week was filled with sleep ins, slow mornings, a day of shopping, a trip to the Mini Time Machine museum, dinner with friends, the trampoline park and we are going to see Taylor Swift tonight. It’s P’s first concert and the girls are excited.
We are also heading to the cabin for an overnight stay and birthday party this weekend. Even though we didn’t go out of town for spring break, we did manage to squeeze in tons of fun events.
How was your week? I’d love to hear what you’re up to this weekend! Fun St. Paddy’s Day celebrations are ahead. If you’re looking for the best St. Patrick’s Day cocktail, try this one.
It’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party! This is where I share my favorite finds of the week and around the web. I always love to hear about your favorites too, so please shout out what you like in the comments section below.
Friday Faves:
Read, watch, listen.
Finished this book and had a serious hangover. It was one of the best historical fiction books I’ve read and I’m having a hard time choosing the next one. It was beautifully written, immediately drew me in, and while I couldn’t wait to find out what happened, I also didn’t want it to end. Amazingly, it was based on a true story, and this book was completely outside of my usual WWII historical fiction. If you have something similar that you liked, please lmk.
Be sure to check out this week’s podcast episode with Nicole Jardim! She shares some amazing tips on how to support your hormones and optimize your cycle.
Loved this post and perfectly captures how our perception of birthdays can change over time. (I used to love my birthday, but now I just enjoy spending it with my little family and eating cake, but I hate the pressure I always feel like I haven’t done *enough* During the year):
Fashion + beauty.
More Frownies goodies! I got my usual Frownies but added the gels and mask. I will be sure to let you know about new products. Frownies have done wonders for helping my 11’s (aka WTF lines) between my brows. You have to use them for a while and use them consistently to see a difference, but I’m a fan. Botox still bugs me (never say never, but for now, it’s not for me) so this was a good alternative.
Spring weather has me looking at swimsuits. Summersalt is my favorite right now (size large), but here are some other cute ones that are on my radar:
Love the cut of this one piece and it comes in four amazing colors.
The florals are gorgeous on this one piece.
This beach riot color block suit (high waisted and not too sassy).
Perfect with a white button as a cover
This ALC suit.
This print is one piece.
Fitness, health, good food.
YAY for the new walkthrough! I really wanted to add one to the office for longer conference calls and studying; i hate sitting for so many hours during the day so i picked this one up on amazon along with this desk. The desk should be here tomorrow and I’ll be ready to go. I’ll share the office setup in an upcoming post, but after trying it out for shorter rides, I’m loving it so far. It’s not for running, it goes up to 5mph, but I’m impressed for being one of the lower priced options. Yesterday I was on the phone with my mom and I turned it on and walked for over 30 minutes while we talked.
Vivo Barefoot shoes. I’ve been seeing these on IG forever and finally decided to give them a try. The only downfall was that they took about 3 weeks to arrive, but they feel great. The toe box is definitely wider than a traditional sneaker, allowing your toes to move freely, but it takes a little getting used to. I got them for strength training and walking and have had 5 workouts in them so far. When I work out at home, I’m always barefoot, but that turns out to be a no-no in gym strength training rooms and most studio environments (gross too lol) 😉
In the next month or so I will be bringing another pair for hiking.
AG1. I have been using this on and off for over a month and love it. I love the nutrients it includes in addition to adaptogens and probiotics. TBH it doesn’t taste great at first (a bit vitamin-y and a bit pineappley) but you absolutely get used to it and I found myself craving it after a week of use. I alternate between AG1 and Organifi green (which tastes better to me but has a different nutritional profile). If you want me to do a post comparing the two, please let me know!!
I was talking about partnering with AG1 as an affiliate, but they asked me to sign an exclusivity agreement. Since I work with many companies in the food industry, such as NOW Foods, Sakara, EquiLife, and Organifi, this was not going to work.
Everyone has different preferences and needs, and I like a lot of different things (!), so I love that there are so many options to share here that I love. So instead of a discount code, I have a referral link here that will get you a free one year Vitamin D3/K2 + 5 travel pack if you want to try it. So far I’m alternating weeks – one week AG1, 1 week Organifi green.
*Be careful. if you want to order anything from EquiLife, like braces, detox, or labs, wait until Monday. I will share the details soon and friends of the newsletter will get the information as soon as it goes live.
Full Body Park Bench Workout.
Salmon burger with salt.
Happy Friday, friends!
