Delhi Capitals fans deserve this win, says Riley Rossouw after Punjab Kings game

New Delhi. Delhi Capitals cruised to a thrilling 15-run win over Punjab Kings at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on Wednesday. Man of the match Riley Rossouw hit a 37-ball 82* to help the Delhi franchise post a total of 213/2 in their 20 overs. Later the capitals of Delhi confined the Punjab kings in 198/8.

Speaking about the game, Rossouw said: “I am really happy that Delhi Capitals won. The fans deserve it. They supported us throughout the season.”

Rilee Rossouw and Prithvi Shaw stitched a lively partnership of 54 runs off 28 balls to give more impetus to Delhi Capitals’ innings after a 94-run opening stand. When asked about batting with Prithvi, the South African said: “I enjoyed batting on a good wicket and showing my talent. Prithvi and I had fun in the middle. We had no serious conversations. It was nice to have someone to beat. who was so calm.”

Rossouw also added that the team will fight till the last ball in the next match against Chennai Super Kings. “We talked about playing freely before the game against Punjab Kings. We will fight till the last ball in our next game as well. We will be ready to face the challenge and try to get the two points.”

Delhi Capitals will face Chennai Super Kings in their final match of TATA IPL 2023 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Saturday.
