Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Add sugar, whisk until smooth, then integrate eggs and vanilla extract until thick and glossy.
- Sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Fold this into the wet mixture carefully.
- If desired, fold in chocolate chips for extra gooeyness.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30–35 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Once cooled, cut into squares, decorate with melted candy melts, and add sprinkles or bows.
- Allow decorations to set before serving.
