Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Biscuits:
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup cold, unsalted Butter
  • 3/4 cup Milk (plant-based milk can be used)
  • For the Chicken:
  • 1 lb Chicken Breasts
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup Hot Honey
  • For Serving:
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Herbs (parsley or chives), chopped
  • 1/4 cup Extra Hot Honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Gradually add the milk, stirring gently until the dough just comes together.
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface, knead lightly until smooth, pat into a 1-inch thick rectangle, and cut into rounds using a biscuit cutter or glass.
  6. Place the biscuits on a lined baking sheet, close but not touching, and bake for 12-15 minutes until lightly golden.
  7. While biscuits bake, season chicken breasts with cayenne pepper and salt.
  8. Cook the seasoned chicken in a skillet over medium heat for 6-7 minutes per side until cooked through.
  9. Remove chicken from the pan and drizzle generously with hot honey, letting it soak in for a few minutes.
