Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh strawberries (preferably large and ripe)
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate (or dark chocolate, chopped)
  • 4 oz white chocolate (optional, for drizzling)
  • Sprinkles or chopped nuts (optional, for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Gently wash the strawberries under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Make sure they are completely dry.
  2. Place the semi-sweet chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, letting the excess drip off.
  4. Place the dipped strawberries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. If using white chocolate, melt it the same way as the semi-sweet chocolate.
  6. Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the chocolate-covered strawberries using a fork or piping bag.
  7. Refrigerate the strawberries for about 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is set.
  8. Remove from the refrigerator and serve immediately. Enjoy!
