Ingredients
Scale
- 250 g (9 oz) spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 60 g (1/2 cup) unsalted butter
- 120 ml (1/2 cup) heavy cream
- 80 g (1 cup) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of salted water. Once it reaches a rolling boil, add 250 g (9 oz) of spaghetti. Cook for 8–10 minutes, until al dente.
- Melt 60 g (1/2 cup) of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 4 minced garlic cloves and sauté for 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour 120 ml (1/2 cup) of heavy cream into the skillet and stir continuously for 1–2 minutes, then add 80 g (1 cup) of freshly grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until smooth.
- Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the sauce, tossing until well combined. If too thick, add reserved pasta water to adjust the consistency.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
For a spicy version, add red pepper flakes during the garlic sautéing step.
