- 1 kg Pork Belly
- 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
- 1/4 cup Honey
- 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 2 tbsp Rice Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
- 4 cloves Garlic
- 1 tbsp Ginger
- 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 2 tbsp Green Onions
- 1 tbsp Sesame Seeds
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Score the skin of the pork belly in a crisscross pattern and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the pork belly skin-side down for 5-7 minutes until crispy and golden.
- In a bowl, whisk soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and a splash of water until sugar dissolves.
- Pour the glaze over the seared pork belly in the skillet and roast in the oven for 1.5 to 2 hours, basting every 30 minutes.
- Let the pork belly rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
