  • 1 cup unsalted butter (225 grams)
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar (155 grams)
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup (130 grams)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Spread the popcorn twists evenly over the parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
  3. In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, combine the unsalted butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup. Whisk constantly until the mixture comes to a boil.
  4. Allow the caramel to boil for 2 minutes while stirring continuously. Then, stir in the baking soda.
  5. Immediately pour the hot caramel sauce over the popcorn twists. Use a spatula or spoon to gently stir and toss the popcorn.
  6. Place the coated popcorn in the oven and bake at 250°F for 45 minutes, stirring every 10-15 minutes.
